So you think you can DANCE?

On Friday the 9th of November Belmore South felt the need, the need to…DANCE!!! The SRC had the opportunity to plan the disco and by the way everyone was screaming, shouting and dancing, everyone had a great time.

The SRC decided to hold the disco to raise money for the year six farewell. Most people just love the music playing. Some songs just played over and over and over again. Lots of Belmore South students can dance really well and the disco was a chance to show of their skills.

BUT… you had to pay $2 to get in and $1 to wear mufti. But it didn’t matter because we all had fun on disco day. And we were raising money for the school.

High school

High school While the years 4 & 5 were doing leadership training, the year 6 were learning how to adjust to high school. We used a CD which contained information about…

·Using a timetable

·Bullying, stress, anger, conflict and relationships

·Friendship

·Getting to and from school safely

And much, more.

We also talked about situations that we could experience in high school. We had a workbook that focused in settling into high school.

High school is a big step. We have to work harder, much,  harder. High school is much more different than primary school.

The high school I am going to next year is Beverly Hills girls high school. I think I’m going to like it there because my friends are coming with me and I like the subjects and opportunities that the school offers.

Are Dragons real?

Do you think dragons are real?

What if they ARE NOT real?

People have recorded sightings of seeing dragons for a long time. But could these people in the past have mistaken these so called “dragons” as merely the every day common reptile? Or any animal. Could they have just mistaken a dragon for a crocodile or a chameleon? Couldn’t they? But there have been sightings. But no actually proof of authenticity. What if dragons are just a figment of imagination? We all want to believe in something? Maybe dragons are just prehistoric animals that have survived without us knowing? But what is the definition of dragon? Dragon: A mythical monster traditionally represented as a gigantic reptile having a lion’s claws, the tail of a serpent, wings and a scaly skin.  We will never really know.

What if they ARE real?

Have you seen animals fly? You probably have. But have you seen an animal that flies, has scales and breathes fire? You probably haven’t. But some people “supposedly” have seen dragons. Why are dragons such a phenomenon, because no knows or can’t tell whether they are real or not?  If you suddenly saw a dragon would you tell everyone or tell yourself it was a trick of the light? Science has come a long way, but can they solve this mystery? Can they really say they DO NOT exist, without gathering all the facts? Dragons have been called a mythological creature. But can we say dragons are animals? Though some animals are called dragons, like the Komodo dragon, are they really dragons? No! Would the world be better off knowing dragons exist or maybe dragons are better off alone? Do we really need a new species on the endangered list? Maybe dragons have come to know that with modern technology they are better of in peace and in hiding.

People might never solve this mystery. Are dragons real? The answer is uncertain. dragons.jpg                              images.jpg
